_DSC0215 On Monday, November 3rd, special guests State Representative Greg Harris and State Representative Cynthia Soto visited our school to learn more about a special program that we have in place to support our students. Also in attendance were Jack Wuest, Executive Director of Alternative Schools Network (ASN), Marvin Garcia, President of our school’s Board of Directors, Martrice Manuel, Program Director of ASN, and Juan Calderon from the Puerto Rican Cultural Center. On September 16th, parents, guardians and families gathered at “La Escuelita” for the first of the year-long program of monthly meetings that aim to strengthen the partnership between school and families — so crucial to the success of our students.

CPS releases official “Graduation Rate” of 97.8% for Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos Puerto Rican High School!

14191294500_467ee29296_oOur school just received notification from Chicago Public Schools that not only are we a top performing school, but that our official graduation rate was 97.8% for school year 2013-2014! Of course, this is a reflection of all of the hard work of our resilient student body, our exemplary staff and our extraordinary parents and community.
