M. Trujillo is an active parent of the Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos Puerto Rican High School family. She has dedicated many volunteer hours and was a participant in a certification program on Diabetes in the Puerto Rican community. The article below reflects her experiences as a successful participant in the program.
These students achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher in their Second Quarter report cards. Their reward is a special lunch with the Principal.

Edward Colón is a sophomore at our school, and an upcoming student leader. He was one of 120 students that were employed in the summer of ’09, participating in a community-based business endeavor in or around Paseo Boricua. Mr. Colón also made the Principal’s list for his grade point average in the first quarter and hopes to move on from High School studying in the area of Forensic Science.
