These students achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher in their Second Quarter report cards. Their reward is a special lunch with the Principal.
Through collectivism, the Instructional and Social and Emotional Learning Teams created a pre-academic session, entitled Advisory Session, to ensure students are prepared for school and building cooperative support structures for academic achievement. This process is defined by students “checking-in” with homework, materials, student planner, and social and emotional readiness.
After their all-day testing, one of our Juniors was rewarded with a $400 gift card to Best Buy! The student, D’Angelo Luciano rejoiced with pride when he was informed of how he exceeded the Illinois State Benchmarks on his ACT test. Many colleges look at a students’ ACT score as a measurement of their “aptitude” to do well. With his high score, Mr. Luciano will be sought after by many Colleges and Universities.
