Grade Day Dinner
Nov 10th, 2008 | By Raymond | Category: Parents/Guardian ShareOver 200 people were confirmed for our Grade Day Dinner. Families packed Casa Puertoriquena, as students performed Bomba (a traditional style of music and dance from Puerto Rico). The community organizations such as Co-op Humboldt Park and Vida Sida were in attendance to pass along information. Coffee from PR was handed out to families and food from the neighborhood was provided for all families.
Before students received their report cards, our principal talked about awards and events that have happened. Many students have been very successful so far, and one student was chosen to receive a free computer. Megan Garcia took home a free Mac desktop.
After report cards were handed out, teachers were present to explain grades and set up future conferences.
