Humboldt Park Field House
The most stylish, proud, cleanest cut, fanciest High School students in all of the land were found at Humboldt Park Field House. The 2009 Senior Prom was one of the best proms ever held. The decorations were bright gold and black, tables were filled with settings and centerpieces, letting everyone know how important they were.
The dresses (most of them altered by our own Vidia Rodriguez), were elegant and the suits freshly pressed. The colors vibrant and expressing the diversity our students embrace. Every dance was a free
expression and proof just how comfortable we all are with each other. Smiles were from ear to ear, and loud welcomes and laughter filled the transformed hall.
The seniors were welcomed out one by one to walk the red carpet. They were cheered by their peers and very proud as they found their Hollywood star on the ground.
We celebrated the victories of Duke and Duchess (Roberto Rodriguez and Anissa Murphy), Prince and Princess (Gene Poirier and Myrna Diaz) and King and Queen (Jesse Fuentes and Tatyana Cartagena).
It was a great night and we look forward to the upcoming graduation on June 23rd at the Humboldt Park Boat House.
