Our first week of school was a welcoming celebration for our new and returning students. Throughout the week we were graced with the presence of one of our school founders and Puerto Rican ex-political prisoner, Ida Luz Rodriguez. Students were engaged in discussions about the history of our school, the community building efforts, and how our school, if given the opportunity, can become an extension of their families.
We sang La Borinqueña, played team-building games, participated in Paseo Boricua Community Tours, reviewed our new PACHS Student Handbooks, and ate delicious Puerto Rican food.
We celebrated the first days of schools the Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos High School way!
